Brent Andrus is a 1970 graduate of BYU.  He met his wife, Cheri Guhin, at BYU where she was a cheerleader. Cheri graduated in 1969 in elementary education. She then taught school while Brent finished his undergraduate work. After BYU, the Andruses ventured to Chicago, where Brent attended Northwestern University and received his MBA. He subsequently worked for Procter & Gamble, General Mills, and Marriott Corp. In 1991 he formed his own hotel development and management company. Cheri owned and operated three Curves for Women fitness clubs in Utah. Prior to moving to Park City, Utah, in 2001, the Andrus family lived in Chicago, Cincinnati, Minneapolis, England, Boston and Maryland. The Andruses have five children, all of whom graduated from BYU, and ten grandchildren. They recently served as the first missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Rwanda, Africa. They have supported the Annual International Law & Religion Symposium since 2009.
