Image for Margaret Pope

Margaret was born in Moab, Utah. She met her husband, Bill at the University of Utah. She was a supportive wife and mother during his assignments as an officer in World War ll, his college education, his employment at American Oil, and his career as a chemical engineering professor at Brigham Young University. Bill was one of the pioneers in adapting man-made diamonds for industrial use. His first company, Megadiamond, made it possible for oil & gas companies to use man-made diamonds to chew through rock without replacing drill bits. He was also the founder of US Synthetic. Bill passed away in 2010. Margaret was a religion professor at Brigham Young University. She and Bill have been tremendous ICLRS supporters throughout the years.
