IAC Emeritus

Richard runs Host Hotels & Resorts, the world's largest hotel-focused real estate investment trust. It was spun off in 1993 from the larger family-run Marriott International, founded by his father J.W. "Bill" Marriott in 1957. Richard received a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Arts/Science from the University of Utah. He and his wife, Nancy, are the parents of four children.

Nancy is the President of the Nancy Peery Marriott Foundation and is active among several national public-service organizations. She is an accomplished lyric soprano, having performed throughout the United States.
