Carlos Valderrama Adriansén is Past President of the Instituto de Derecho Eclesiástico (Institute of Ecclesiastic Law) in Lima, Peru, Past President of the Latin American Freedom of Religion Consortium, and Professor of Freedom of Religion Rights at the Catholic University of Peru.

Juan Carlos Valderrama Adriansén, Lima Peru, born September 16, 1944, is Professor of the course on religious freedom in the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. He is a lawyer with a Bachelor's degree in law and history and Master's Degree studies in constitutional law. He is founder and President of the Institute of Church law; founder and Past President of the Latin American Consortium of religious liberty; member of the Academic Advisory Board and Member Academic Council of the IUSTEL Journal; and member of the Consociato Iuris Canonicum Promovendo. He has published various articles on the right to religious freedom, and since 1997 he has participated in various international conferences as a speaker on this subject. For the past 45 years he has been a lawyer for various ecclesiastical institutions. Today, he focuses on legal research concerning the right to freedom of religion.
