Cole & Louise Durham

W. Cole Durham Durham, Jr., is the Founding Director of the International Center for Law and Religion Studies. A graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School, Cole has had a distinguished career in comparative law scholarship, with specific emphasis on comparative constitutional and church-state law. He is immediate past president of the International Consortium for Law and Religion Studies, based in Milan, Italy, and is co-editor-in-chief of the Oxford Journal of Law and Religion. He has authored numerous important works in the field of law and religion. He was awarded the International First Freedom Award by the First Freedom Center in Richmond, Virginia and received an honorary doctorate from Ovidius University in Constanţa, Romania. Louise Gardiner and Cole Durham were high school friends in Salt Lake City, Utah. Louise is a a scholar, essayist, story writer, journalist, and teacher. She taught Journalism and Advanced Placement English to grateful students for many years at Timpview High School in Provo, Utah. Louise and Cole have 4 children, 1 granddaughter, and 13 grandsons.
